DUNEDIN, May 30.

. The position of Mr. A., D. Park; Secretary to the Treasury, who has been appointed a managing director of the Mortgage Corporation of New Zealand, was explained by the Acting Minister of Finance (the Hon. A. Hamilton).

"Mr. Park's position will be a fulltime one," he said, "and it will be necessary, of course, for him to resign from the Treasury, and, in fact, from the Public Service altogether."
