Australian cheese, white 41s to 42s coloured 41s to 425; New Zealand white 435, coloured 43s 6d; spot price for Canadian white 56s to 645, coloured 56s to 645.
A. S. Paterson and Co., Ltd., advise having received today cable advice from Messrs. J. and J. Lonsdale and Co. (London), Ltd., as follows:—ButterMarket quiet. New Zealand, 81s to 82s per cwt; Australian, 80s to 81s; Danish 77s f.0.b., 98s landed. Cheese: Market dull. White. 43s to 43s 6d; coloured 44s to 44s 6d.
Joseph Nathan and Company, Ltd have received from their principals, Trengrouse and Nathan, Ltd., London, the following cabled advice, dated May 30:—New Zealand butter, 81s to 82s per cwt. Market very quiet. ■ A. J. Mills and Co., London, cable the following market prices as ruling at close of business on Thursday last: — Butter: Market is quiet. New Zealand, finest 82s per cwt, first 80s: Australian, choicest 81s, first grade 78s; Danish, spot 98s. f.o.b. 78s. Cheese: Market is steady. New Zealand, white 43s to 43s 6d, coloured 44s to 44s 6d: Canadian, white 60s to 625, coloured 58s to 60s.
