RESERVE BANK
THE WEEKLY RETURN
The return of the Reserve Bank -of New Zealand for the week ended May 27, when compared with that ended May 20, shows but little variation. The bank-notes are less by £6811; Government deposits have increased by £552,818, and trading banks' deposit are reduced by almost' the same amount, viz., £547,538. Other liabilities are lower by £84. -"aum On the assets side, the gold held is as rt was last week. Sterling exchange is but £18 more. Subsidiary cota is less by £6939. Other assets have increased by £5223. The proportion of f^rve to notes and other demand liabihties is 97.35 per cent, compared with 97.34 per cent, last week.
