POSTMEN'S "DRIVE"

FOR RELIEF COMMITTEE

A remarkably successful clothes "drive" was. carried out by the postmen of Wellington about-a year ago on behalf of the Smith Family, and the news that another will be put in hand shortly will be welcomed by those in charge of distress relief activities. The manager of the Mayor's Metropolitan Relief Committee (Colonel A. Cowles) has asked the postmen if they will repeat their "drive," and he has been assured that they will do so. No definite date has yet been fixed, but it is hoped to hold the "drive" within the next three or four weeks. The postmen's willingness to assist is greatly appreciated by the metropolitan relief body.
