WON BY WAIRARAPA PILOT

(By Telegraph—Vtess Association.l BLENHEIM, May 29. The final for the Bledisloe aviation trophy was decided this afternoon between F. V. Reid, of the Wairarapa Aero Club, representing the North Island, and R. D. Lucas, of the Nelson Aero Club, representing the South Island. The judges were Wing Commander T. M. Wilkes, Director of Air Services, and Squadron Leader G. L. Stedman, of the Wellington Aero Club. Conditions were bad, heavy rain fall- j ing almost continuously, but both pilots put up excellent performances. Reid was the winner with a total of | 242 points, Lucas registering 214 points.
