HOSPITAL STAFF
SERVICES APPRECIATED
.} n. a report to the Wellington Hospital Board, Dr. A. R. Thome, superintendent, expresses appreciation of the satisfactory manner in which the various heads of departments and the staff generally have carried out their duties. -"The district nursing services provided by the board," he says, have been augmented by the appointment of a district nurse at Petone. This makes the fourth district where such services are available, and the appreciation of the people served convinces all of the need for further extension in the near- future. "The services rendered by the Wellington blood transfusion organisation have again increased, and a greater demand for donors was made during the past year] Thanks to the enthusiasm of the secretary, Mr. Meachen, and the individual donors, all calls were fulfilled. The patients indeed owe a debt of gratitude to this voluntary league." Thanks, are also expressed to the District^Nursing Guild of St. John and the Combined Ladies' Auxiliary for their help during the year.
