KARORI B 3, TECHNICAL
Eeoiganisation of their foiward line was mainly lesponsible for the victory which Kaion B scored over Technical by 3 goals to 1. With 'Hamel back to form a? leLthalf the Kaioii defence was an improvement on recent displajs, and up to halftime the Blacks safely held the one-goal advantage gained for them by P. Adams trom a, corner. The Technical halves appeared to be the weakness of the team, their tackling being unceisam and usually allowing the Karori forwards to get lid of the ball m good time. JMoieover, the lorwards mostly, failed to1 diaw ihe op. position when attacking. Generally, however, the stick woik and .combination were excellent. About ten minutes after the stait of the second spell Gapes, the Kalori right-wing, manoeuvred the ball nicely past the Technical left-half and centred to Wood, who scoied the secotfd goal of the match. Not long afterwards Technical had to concede a long corner and J. following in after Niramo had shot at goal, sent the ball into the .technical net. With a few minutes to go Technical attacked with determination and a well-deserved goal was scored by Garbett '
' The umpire was Mr. W. A. Scott.
