INDIAN HOCKEY TEAM

Tlie All-India hockey team visited the Wellinston War Memorial yesterday afternoon and the manager (Air. B. Doctor) placed a -wreath at the entrance to the shrine. Afterwards the team practised at Karori Park, where, despite the bumpynature of the ground, they delighted the spectators with their stickwork and superb ball-control. On returning to the city the team attended at Government House, where they -were received by the GovernorGeneral (Lord Galway). In the evening they were the guests of the management of the Regent and Majestic Theatres. This morning the team left for Dannevirke. where the first match of the tour will be .played tomorrow.
