AN INTERESTING RECEPTION

A reception of interest in musical circles was recently-given by Mrs. J. H. Coster in the Jacobean Rooms, Kirkcaldie and Stains, in honour of the approaching marriage of her daughter Ngaire to Mr. Frank. Benton, of the Technical College, Dunedin. The ■ guests were received by Mrs. and' Miss Coster, the'former wearing a black costume with ermine necklet, and the latter m a snisfrt maroon ensemble with hat to match. The room was artistically decorated with early spring flowers and made a bright background for the large gathering of relatives and friends who had come from all parts of New Zealand to wish the bride-elect the best of good wishes. As one of Wellington's leading stagers Miss Coster has always been willing to assist in any good cause. During the afternoon soags and musical items were rendered by Mrs Wilfred Andrews, Miss Jeanette Briggs, Mrs. G. Webb, and Mrs. French, and Miss Ngaire Coster.
