CHRISTIAN SCIENTISTS' TRIBUTE
Special services of thanksgiving to Uod for the, completion of the 25th year of the reign of their Majesties the King and Queen were held in the First and 'Second Churclies of Christ (Scientist) yesterday. The services commenced with the singing of the National Anthem, followed by the singing of two hymns specially selected, by the King and the reading of psalms 59 and 121. The following special announcement was read, members or the congregation standing:— 'This Sunday has been set apart in order that the churches of all denominations may unite in thanksgiving to God for the completion of the twentyfifth year of the reign of their Majesties, King George V and Queen Mary. These years have been the -most momentous in the history of the human race. No phase of human activity has remained untouched or untested by the great spiritual forces which are at work uncovering and eliminating all that is unlike God and His Christ in order that the way of the Prince of Peace may be prepared. We rejoice that, in these years, his Majesty, under Gods guidance, occupies the onerous position of Sovereign of this great Commonwealth We are grateful for their Majesties' devotion to duty and keen interest in all that promotes the prosperity and happiness of their subjects. We rejoice that these years have seen the steady progress of the Church of Christ Scientist? throughout the world, and an ever-growing recognition of the purport of the spiritual revelation Mary Baker Eddy gave to humanity, and of her place in his^ tory We are grateful that in her P u£ hshed writings our dear leader has placed on record her profound regard for the lives of two of our beloved IdparTvh^ 6611 ViCt°ria 3nd *3 "At this time our united prayers bo forth that their Majesties, King CJeorfe V and Queen Mary, may continue to and that the Divine Presence may bless their Majesties and each member of the Royal Family in their homes and in all that they undertake We rejoice in the truth of Mrs. Eddy's words, on page 287 of "The First Church of Christ Scientist, and Miscellany,' 'Love lived in a court or cot is God exemplified, governing governments, industries, human rights liberty, life.'"
