LONDON MARKETS STEADY
The market for New Zealand butter in London is steadier, according to the weekly cabin received today by the Dairy .Produce Board. Wholesale prices are down Is per cwt on last \veek. The ' cheese market is steadier with prices showing little change. Wholesale prices for butter are:—New Zealaud, salted, 77s to 78s per cwt; unsalted, 79s to 80s; Australian, salted, 73s to 765; Danish, .spot, 80s. The market for Continental butters is quiet. : Wholesale prices- for cheese are:—NewZealand, white 43s 6d to 44s per cwt, coloured 44s 6d to 455; Canadian, white nnd coloured, 42s to 43s;' finest English farmers, 82s to 90s.
The board has also received the following advice from its agents in Canada:— Butter, New York, 28 M cents; Montreal, 21% cents.
A. S. Paterson and - Co., Ltd., advise having received cable advice from J. and J. Lonsdale and Co. (London), Ltd., as follows: —Butter: Market steady. New Zealand, 77s 6d to 78s per-cwt; Australian, 75s 6d to 765. Cheese: Market firm. New Zealand, white 44s per cwt, coloured 44s fid. ■ ' ■
■Joseph Nathan and Company, Ltd., have received from their principals, Trengrouse and Nathan, Ltd., London, the following cabled advice, dated May 9, 1935: New Zealand butter: 78s per. cwt. New Zealand cheese: White 44s per cwt, coloured 455. Market firm.
