ACCIDENTS

Four people .injured in accidents Were attended'to' by the Free Ambulance yesterday afternoon and last night.

When the car in which she was riding collided with a post at the corner of George Street and Tinakori Road at about 10.20 p.m., Patricia MaddocU, a schoolgirl, of 31 Moana Road, had her right knee cut by flying glass and she suffered, also from shock. The Ambulance rendered first aid and took her to her home.

Early in the afternoon S. Stone, a freezing hand, ,of 48 Bridge Street, Kilbirnie, had the first finger of his left hand crushed while he was working. He was taken from ~ a freezing works in Waterloo Quay to hospital. A collision between a bicycle and a car on the Main Road, Karon, resulted in the cyclist, Francis Higginbottam, a youth, receiving severe injuries to the left side of the face. He was taken to hospital.
