AUCKLAND, This Day,

When the Wanganella anchored .in the stream this morning, a detective and Customs officers boarded her and arrested a passenger in his cabin. They found six tins of prepared opium in his hip pocket. Later the man, named Donald John Mac Donald, aged 53, a mechanic, pleaded guilty to a charge of illegally importing opium. On the application of- the Collector of Customs he was remanded in custody for further inquiries. The minimum penalty is £125, or a term of imprisonment
