OBITUARY

SIR ALBERT GOODERHAM

TORONTO, April 25.

The death has occurred of Sir Albert E. Gooderham, aged 74, distiller, financier, and philanthropist. Streptococcus developed from a septic throat. During "the war he placed at the disposal of the British Government the distilling plant of Gooderham and Worth. It was converted for the manufacture of acetone, and used as a solvent in the production of cordite, the plant producing three-quarters of all the acetone made in the Empire,
