"DO NOT TALK"

L.T.A. ADVISES PERRY

CHAMPION REMAINS LOYAL

(Received April 27, noon.)

LONDON, April 26.

Fred Perry, last year's Wimbledon champion, received a radiogram on board the Berengaria from the Lawn Tennis Association urging him not to talk. ■ After his arrival'in England Perry said, "I alone know why I turned down professional offers which I cannot yet divulge. I owe all my loyalty to the association, and am offering them my whole-hearted support to keep Britain on top of the tennis world." He declined to say whether he was still engaged. Perry announced that he will be partnering Miss Dorothy Round in the mixed doubles event at Wimbledon. Last year Miss Round was paired with Miki (Japan) in the mixed doubles at Wimbledon and she was successful in this event as well as in the women's singles.
