SKATEWAYS.

Since the opening of Skatewa.ys, Vivian Street, the remodelled skating house, skating is rapidly becoming Wellingtons fashionable winter pastime. Capacity houses are being recorded, and the introduction of the Manhattan Orchestra has still further enhanced the growing popularity of the excellent entertainment provided. At the day and evening sessions novices receive skilful tuition by a staff of instructors which have been carefully chosen by the management. Five sessions are held daily, with a special learners' class from 6 to 7 p.m. The evening sessions commence at 7.30 p.m., and this evening a special session is being arranged to run until 11 p.m. .
