KINNOULL AND HIS DAM

Kinnoull, winner of the C.J.C. Champagne Stakes at Riccarton last Monday, is owned by his breeder, Mr. D. Grant, the popular president of the South Canterbury Jockey Club. Mr. Grant's colours became familiar a few years ago after his purchase of several yearling fillies in Australia. These mares are now consorting with the Hunting Song sire Pink Coat, and interest will attach to the first appearance of their progeny. Pink Coat has certainly received an excellent advertisement for his first crop with Kinnoull and Silver Coat among them. Kinnoull's dam, Lady Links, the damalso of Last Link, was bred in Hawke's Bay by the late Hon. J. D. Onnond, being by King Mark from Links, by St. Andrew from Sabra, by St. George from Miss Flat.
