THE LIZARD

"One day I saw a large grey lizard wriggling through the grass. Our: big tabby, cat saw it, too. ■He was very interested. The lizard crawled along a path with Tabby creeping close behind it Suddenly Tabby sprang forward, putting his big paw on the lizard's back. The lizard, however, managed to get away and hid under a leaf. Tabby sprang on,to the leaf, but the lizard was making its way towards a crack in a building, through which it. disappeared. Tabby kept watch for some time and then disgustedly went in search of other prey." —From an Eli-of-the-King.
