THE LATE MISS CLARKE JOHNSON

Tlie funeral service of the late Miss Queenie Clarke Johnson, which was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. C. W.i Salmon, "Matairoa," Parliament Street, was a quiet and impressive one, conducted by the Eey. Dr. Gibb, and attended by many friends of the family. Representatives of the Presbyterian churches were among those present. The pall-bearers were Messrs. D. V. Davidson (Christchurch). C.. W. Salmon, B. K. Webster, A. Howitt (St. John's Church); Geoffrey Shirtcliffe, and A. Johnson. Mr. Noel Clarke Johnson (Hamilton), a brother of Miss Clarke Johnson, was chief mourner.
