BUTTER MARKET STEADY

The butter market in London is steady, I according to. the weekly cabled report received today by the New Zealand Dairy Produce Board, and prices are unchanged from last week. The cheese market is (juict, also with no quotable change in infices. Wholesale rates are: —Butter: New Zealand salted, 70s to 77s per cwt. (which equals approximately 8.70 d per Ib f.0.b.) ; unsalted, 78s to SOs; Australian, 72s and up to 735; Danish,' spot, 90s. Cheese: New Zealand white, 44s 0d per cwt (which equals approximately 4.7 d per ib. f.0.b.); coloured, 4os Od to 40s; Canadian white and coloured, 00s to 625; iinest English farmers',. 82s to 90s. The board has also received the following advice from its agents in Canada:— Butter, New York, 31% cents per lb; Montreal, 23% cents. The New Zealand Producers Co-opera-tive Marketing Association's weekly cabled market report from London, dated April, is as follows:—Butter: Market steady. New Zealand finest grade, 70s to 775, per cwt; first grade, 70s; Danish, 955. Cheese: Market quiet. New Zealand white, 44s to ''As 6d per cwt; coloured, 45s 6d to 40s. ; MINIMUM EXPORT PRICES. The Dairy Board has fixed the minimum export prices until further notice at dVid per lb, i'.o.b., for butter and 5d for cheese.
