HUTT COUNTY COUNCIL
Information has been made available to "The Post" that Mr. F. W. Vickeri man has been nominated as a candidate for a position on the Hutt County Council as representative of the Whareroa riding, to which position Mr. A. I. Mackay is not offering himself for re-election. Councillor Mackay is also retiring from the Horowhenua Po.wer Board, and Mr. Vickerman intends to stand for a position on the board as representative of the Whareroa riding.
■At the request of the Pukerua Bay Ratepayers' Association and the Paremata . Bridge Association, Mr. R. L. Button has consented to seek reelection as councillor for the.. Taupo riding.
