JOHN MASEFIELD'S WORK

ONE OF THE VERSES

LONDON, April 21.

The "Sunday Express," with John Masefield's permission, 'gives the following verse from his. Jubilee poem,' which has been set to music by Sir Walford Davics, Master of the King's Music:—

"O God, whose mercy led us through

The years of war into this peace, Grant that the world may make anew

Man's spirit, that his quarrels cease', O Power, hear us as We sing

And bless this country and her King."
