PROLONGED STRUGGLE
DUBLIN TRANSPORT STRIKE
DUBLIN, April 21,
The transport workers rejected the latest proposals of Mr. S. Lemass, Minister oil Industries and Commerce, and are now starting the eighth week of the strike.
A cable message dated March 24 stated that the Irish Republican Army had offered its support to the striking busmen and tramwaymen. "The Irish Times" described the offer as "nothing more or less than a declaration of civil war."
