KARORI GATHERING
To enable the residents of Karori— particularly the young people—to meet Mr. and Mrs. R. Semple and other Labour candidates for municipal honours, a committee of residents held a successful social gathering in the Scout Hall, Campbell Street, on Saturday evening. Almost 200 were present to enjoy dancing, interspersed with vocal and instrumental items. The hall was tastefuly decorated, and excellent supper was served. Mr. Semple and Mr. P. M. Butler briefly addressed the gathering
