MUMMY X-RAYED
X-ray photographs of a mummy have been takeu at Hull. They have just been submitted to tile East Riding Antiquarian Society by Sir. T. Shcppard, Director of Museums. The mummy, which came originally from Luxor, is in a richly decorated sarcophagus, entombed 2500 years ago. It is believed to be the body of an Egyptian princess. Sir. Sheppard wishes to discover if any jewellery had been buried with the body, -which ivns bound up in many yards of linen. The photographs *how clearly that there were no trinkets.
