The death has occurred of .Anna Katharine Green, the noted authoress.

Anna Katharine Green Rohlfs was born at Brooklyn in 1846. She took a B.A. degree at the Kipley Female College, Poultney, Vermont, in 1867, and married Charles Rohlfs in 1884. She was the-author of "The Leavenworth Case," "The Sword of Damocles," "The Mill Mystery,' 'and many other mystery novels.
