CAMPBELL SETS NEW LEVEL
Though he had to wait some time at Daytona Beach before he got a surface reasonably . good for the Bluebird to attempt to seta new land speed record, Sir Malcolm Campbell was not idle. Using a Hudson standard eight sedan, he set up new records for class C stock ■ models as follows:—
Flying start, one mile: 88.2028 miles per hom\ Flying start, one kilometre: 88.207 miles per; hour. Flying start, five miles: 88.051 mileb per hour. Flying start, five kilometres: 88.105 miles per* hour.
The records were made under the official sanction and supervision of the contest board of the American . Automobile Association.
