DAVOLO STILL SPELLING

Though Davolo was nomiuated for the C.J.C. Great JEastey Handicap, it was without any serious idea that he could be at his best. He had been spelling for some time, and-it has since been found necessary to leave him on the easy list for a longer period, as he has not fully recovered from an injury to a hock. It is to be hoped he will come back from his rest ready for a return to his best form nest season, as he is a good horse when he is right.

The only horse the stable has in commission at present is the Paper Money— Halina three-year-old Colombo, who went a satisfactory race at Washdyke last woek for the first time up after a spell. Colombo will probably race at the C.J.C. Meeting, when he should be ready for a better effort. .
