DOMINANT STILL FAILING
"When the SaUash—Weltea.yearling was paraded in the sale ring in Sydney m 1928, there were visions of .his winning rich races. He was knocked down for 6750g5, and given a name worthy of a costly colt —Dominant. Dominant, however, belied his name. He failed time after time in Melbourne. He was tried in poorer conK pauy in Adelaide, but failed.. And he, was allotted 8.0 in a £40 race at Murray Bridge. In a slow-run race he paced it with the ancient Bachelor Green for a while, but when the pace was quickened the costly chestnut dropped out of the fight and finished last.
