LOBENGUELA'S PROGRESS
An interesting addition to J. Holt's string at Mordialloe is the New Zealandbred two-year-old colt Lobenguela, ways a Melbourne report. By Phnr Lap's sire Night Raid from the Absurd, mare Zany, Lobenguela is probably the fullest two-year-old in training in, Victoria, and he is built' in good 'proportion. He was put into training in the Dominion during the spring, and displayed such speed in his early trials that his'-connections immediately decided on sending him- to Australia, before racing him. He arrived at Holt's .stables about four months ago, and, after being in training, lie was sent t<v W. Leyshon's -property at Werribce for a spell, from which he hns derived a good deal of benefit.
