CHANGE OF GROUNDS
SOCCER PRAISE FOR O.R.F.U
Tribute to the assistance rendered by the Otago. Rugby Union was paid by the Otago Fodtball Association in a letter notifying the council of the New Zealand Football Association that Logan Park would in future be the Soccer ground in Dunedin in place of the Caledonian Ground.
The Otago Football Association had decided to revert to Logan Park from the Caledonian Ground for ' several reasons, chief of which was that it, had been impossible to show a profit on the Caledonian Ground, said the letter. The secretary unofficially had been successful in arranging lor the Rugby Union to take over the balance of the association's lease of the Caledonian Ground. He felt confident that the move was a gpod one, arid that the association would. be able to make a steady and sure profit out of Logan Park.. -
"The, Otago Rugby Football Union have been most helpful to us," wrote the association secretary, "and I cannot say too much in praise of the way they have treated me and my association dyer the whole matter."
The Marist Club has been preparing solidly for its important Easter engagement—the Spillane Cup Rugby tournament at Napier. The club appears to be very well off in the matter of players this.season, and a strong contingent should be available for the Napier trip.
It is reported that J. L. Kerr, of Canterbury, who is regarded as one of New Zealand's best batsmen, is not likely to be available for much big cricket in future. Business ties will probably prevent him from becoming a candidate for the team to go to England.
