COMBINED NAVAL SERVICES
A reunion\dinner of officers of the Royal Navy, Royal Naval Reserve, and Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve was held in Wellington recently. The chairman was Engineer-Lieut.-Commander D. F. Bauchop, R.N. (retired), and the guest of honour was Lieut.-Colonel Puttick, D.5.0., N.Z.S.C. (representing the G.O.C. NewZealand Forces). Owing to the nature of their vocations, and the fact that they are scattered throughout New Zealand, either on ships or on shore, it has been found difficult to organise a reunion of naval officers, but the committee is gratified with the response received. The reunion dinner was the second to have been held in Wellington. In view of the success of the gathering it is hoped to make the reunion an annual event to be held towards the end o£ March in each year. The committee m charge of arrangements, in addition to the chairman, were Lieut. W. S. Hartman, R.N.R. (retired), Lieut.-Commander G. F. Bothamley, | R N.V.R. (retired), and Pay-Lieutenant G! H. Norman, R.N.V.R.
