SYDNEY, April. 10,
Silver Ring, who was injured during his trip across the Tasman, is much improved and trotted round the centre track today. He moved quite freely walking and trotting, but is unlikely to race before' the Doncaster Handicap. He will probably stretch out by the weekend.
Australia is not the only country which has found the recent weather a little unseasonal. According to the "Daily Telegraph" most of Europe was in a few weeks like England, finding the winter ' almost embarrassingly warm. Germany and Austria complained that they were being robbed of their winter sports. Paris air had not been so mild at this season for sixty years.
