DEATH AT CAWNPORE
SURVIVOR OF INDIAN MUTINY
CALCUTTA, April 8.
Mrs. A. M. White, a survivor of the Indian Mutiny, died at Cawnpore, aged 88. Her diary records giving water to wounded British troops at Agrai Her husband was a drummer boy in the Bengal Native Infantry at Benares when the mutiny broke out. The regiment was disarmed, and White joined the force which later relieved Cawnpore. He died in 1927.
