In the House of Commons Mr. Mao\ Donald, replying to' Sir Herbert Samuel's question relating to New, lowland legislation on the rights of;Ne\v Zealand women married to aliens,: said that, as at present advised, the| Government was of opinion that;it, would not serve a useful ■ purpose^"toi discuss with the Dominion representa-i tives in London the question of further: legislation concerning women's nationality with a view to obtaining uniformity throughout the Empire.
Sir Heabert-Samuel: Will'not the Government consider legislation .going' at least,as far as New Zealand's? Mr. Mac Donald: It is one thing ifc. New Zealand and another here.
