Mpanataiari Golcomla, Thames, reports: During week the crosscut was advanced 19ft, making a total of 421 ft. A stroug body of quartz has been cut, dipping about one in one away from us. This appears to be the Caledonia reef. Have driven into the reef sft, with no hangingwall showing. Reef is fairly well mineralised, carrying iron pyrites and antimony in jointings. About oft back from this reef a leader 6in wide was passed through, clipping in the opposite direction.' This leader should join v the reef a few feet at; the. back of the drive. ' ■ GOLDEN DAWN. Golden Dawn, Owharoa, reports: Development, No. 3 level: Drive north on No. 1 main reef level extended 45ft. Country Tiere getting firmer and looks as if through the break. Reef so far is very small. Kise on No. 3 reef south block from atopes driven ■lift. The reef avevages 2ft .wide, assay £1 12s 9d a ton. About another 12ft of rising should hole through to. the intermediate level. Bottom inter-, mediate level: Drive south on No. 1 reef from Grey's old stopes driven Bft; reef 3ft wide, assay £2 0s 7d a ton. From south end of Daily's old stopes driven 12ft Bin, reef 2ft, £2 ss; 4d a ton. Top intermediate level: Drive north on new reef from crosscut west driven 6ft; £1 7s 8d a ton. Stoping was continued in the, No. '3 and bottom intermediate levels. MOUNT MORGAN. ,- Production of Mt.
