TRENTHAM ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL CLUB
The annual meeting of the Trentham Association Football Club was held recently, when there was a fair attendance. Councillor J. Purvis was in the chair. The chairman appealed to all Soccer enthusiasts to rally around the club, and so help the game along. It was decided to meet the headmasters in the district and try to arrange a competition between the schools. , An endeavour is to be made to get the Maidstone Park as a playing area once again. ' Following are the officers for the ensuing season:—Patron, the Rev. Father Kelly; president, Mr. A. J. McCurdy; chairman of committee, Mr. J. Purvis; treasurer, Mr. D. Clyde; hon. auditor, Mrs. White; hon. secretary, Mr. R. H. Ashford; committee, Messrs. A. Searles, J. Marsden, T. Bringham, A. Middlemiss, R. McKendry, and A. Hepburn; club captain,.Mr. R. Eckersley._ The club expects, to play-in the junior A division of the Wellington Football Association. ~ .
