PUBLIC NOTICE. WELLINGTON CITY COUNCIL. PROPOSED SPECIAL LOAN OF ' ' ' ' , , ■ £27,000. ■ • TO be floated by the issue of debentures at a rate of interest not exceeding ZVi per centum per annum under the provisions of the Municipal Corporations Act 1933, the Local Bodies Loans Act, 1926 and their respective amendments and of all other Acts and powers (if any) , enabling the Council in that behalf. .Lhe Wellington. City Council hereby gives public notice that such Council proposes to borrow (by way of Special Loan within the meaning of the Local Bodies Loans Act 1926) the sura of £27,000 for the purpose of carrying out the works specified hereunder. The particular purpose for which the loan is required and the sum it ia proposed to borrow are aa follows:Providing tepid swimming baths and slipper baths for the City on a site between Jervoia Quay and Wakefield Street, including the necessary administration offices and accommodation and heating, filtration, laundry and other plant and equipment relative thereto, and, demolition ot old buildings: n £27,000. The Council proposes to pledge ■ a special rate of Five two-hundredths of a. penny (5/200 d) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value of all rateable property within the City of Wellington as security for the said Loan of £27,000 and the interest and sinking fund and other charges thereon. In connection with the repayment of the saio Loan it is proposed to establish a sinking fund of Two pounds ten shillings (£2.10. 0) pec centum per annum. It is proposed that the abovementioned Special Loan shall be repayable at the expiration of a period of Twentyfive years computed from the Ist day of December 1935. It is not proposed to pay out of the Special Loan the cost of raising the Loan or the interest or sinking fund for the first year. It is proposed to pay all interest and to repay all principal in respect of the said Loan in New Zealand. It is proposed that the rate payable for brokerage underwriting and procuration fees in respect of the raising of the said Loan or any part thereof shall not in the aggregate exceed one-half per centum of any amount raised.
