LONDON PRICES
The of Agriculture has received the following cable, dated March 23, from the High Commissioner for New Zealand, London:— Tallow: Market quiet but steady at about last quotations. Hemp: Manila: Market quiet with rather more offering, but small business has been done. "X" grade for April/ June shipment, £13. Sisal: Market steady, with moderate demand. No. 1 grade for April/June shipment sold at £15/5/-. New Zealand: Market nominally unchanged. On the basis of "Fair" grade for March/April. shipment, £14 Fruit: Akaroa shipment practically cleared at about last week's rates.
