March S.S.- According to the Berlin correspondent of the "News-Chronicle", Herr Hadamovsky, the German radio director, in an announcement regards ing" the progress made in television experiments, ' declared: We have stolen, a march on Britain. What . happened tonight In Berlin Is what Britain proposed •to do next Autumn." This announcement was made to a gathering of officials and newspapermen who had witnessed the world's first high definition television programme, which included a Mickey Mouse film, also a pictvre of Herr Hadamovsky reading a telegram to Eerr Hitler. There was a noticeable flickering, but Herr Hadamovsky declared that this would soon be overcome. Orders, had'already been given for. the mass production of television sets costing £30. Users cf aueh seta would not be taxed. He added that the national Labour demonstration on May 1 would be completely televised.
