LORD AND LADY GALWAY
VICTORIA LEAGUE RECEPTION LONDON, February 23. The chairman and central executive of the, Victoria League were at home on February .19 at 81, Cromwell Road,, to meet the Governor General Designate of New Zealand and Viscountess Galway. The guests, numbering 250, were received by Lady Forster, chairman of the Victoria League. Miss Gertrude Drayton, C.8.E., made it her interest to see that all New : Zealanders present had the opportunity of talking to Lord and VLady Galway, who are always very gracious and. friendly. . Guests present-included High Commissioners and Agents-General, Lieut. Sir Standish Roche, Lady (O'Grady) Roche, Sir James Parr, Sir F. and Lady Ware, and the Countess of Hardwicke, the countess Jellicoe, Lady Gwendolen Jellicoe, Admiral and Mrs. A. F. Beal, Sir H. and Lady Batter'bee, Rear-Admiral and Mrs. A. Bromley, Lady Milner, Mrs. Gladys Pott, Dame Meriel Talbot, Mr. and Mrs. F. W. Doidge, Mr. and Mrs. M. B. Esson Mr. W. E. Henley, Miss Stella Murray, Miss Eunice Meredith, Lieut.-Col. N. and Mrs. Fitzherbert, Mr. E. C. Cutten, Capt. and Mrs. G. H. Clifton. Mr. and Mrs. R. S. Forsyth, Dr. and jMrs. A. J.
