HELPING EX-SERVICE MEN

(To the Editor.)

Sir^—After reading his Royal Highness the Prince of Wales's speech urging employers to,give more work to the ex-servicemen it put a lot more life into the out-of-work returned soldiers in Wellington. Might I suggest that the Wellington City Councii lead the way in giving us a chance to rehabilitate ourselves to the class we were in when we went away. As I believe the tramways and other departments are strengthening their staffs perhaps the Mayor might be able to assist some-of the returned men who1 have applications in to get a job and lifting them out of the rut they are in at present—l am, etc., 1914-1918.
