Inauguration In April

April 15 will mark the inauguration of.a regular mail passenger service between Napier and Gisborne by East Coast Airways, Ltd. The mail will be carried to Napier in the morning, and the mail from Napier will be taken up by the return flight in the afternoon.
The assembly of the two De Haviland Standard Dragons with which the service is to be operated is proceeding satisfactorily at Auckland, and t.he company is to, tace delivery of the machines on March 31, after which they will be submitted to most comprehensive tests before being flown to Gisborne by', the company's own pilots. Squadron Leader T. \V. White, chief pilot, is on his way to New Zealand from Australia, and is expected to reach Auckland to-morrow. The second pilot, Mr. Kirkup, is already in Auckland, and the ground engineer, Mr. Brazier, was to arrive there itptlajs : •-■ ' ~" ~~-~- -'--1'
