Further results of the United Fire Brigades demonstration competitions are as follows:—
Three-men Motor Event, Dressing.— Hawera, 30sec, 12 shield points,,l; Petone, 31sec, 9 points, 2;: Carterton, 36 3-ssec (including 2sec penalty), 7 points, 3; Whangarei, 37 3-ssec, 4J points, 4; Te "Awamutu, 37 3-ssec, 4J points, 5; Otorohanga,: 41sec (including. 4sec penalty), 3. points, 6. Also started,. Danneyirke, Cambridge,, Hastings, Te Kuiti; Tapanui, Taumarunui, Gore, Hanmer Springs,' Devonport, Blenheim, Matamata,, Lytteltpn. ' The winning Hawera team were: Superintendent A; Morrison, Forefean E. Hart, and Fireman J. Peacock. The Petone team (second) were: Firemen' A. Shardlow, L. Home, and L: Hughes. Also started: Hokitika, Otorohanga, Te Aroha, Whangarei, Nelson, Otira Railway, Kumara, Taumarunui, Devonport, Waimate, Te Kuiti, Stratford, Waipukurau, Dannevirke, Lower Hutt, Reefton, Hastings, Hawera, Lyttelton, Tapanui, Cobden.

With seven events completed, the shield points of leading teams are as follows:—
Championship Shield.—Carterton 47, Petone 43, Hawera 36£, Gore 27, Greymouth 26.
