BROKEN BYLAWS
Offenders against the city bylaws and1 the motor regulations were dealt with by Mr. W. F. Stilwell, S.M., in the Magistrate's Court yesterday afternoon.
Albert Sievers was fined £1 for danger«i ous driving, and Alfred Walling was fined 30s for speeding. Fines of 10s each for a breach of the parkins regulations' were imposed upon1 John 'Wilson Ashbridge, Victor Davies, Philip Douglas Doland, Ellen Sowmaii, Ida1 Eaton, Julia Miles, Isobel' Thomson, ami James Twohill. Hugh Patrick Dunn was convicted and ordered to pay costs for similar oifences.
For not having' their vehicles properly' lighted, James Twohill, Richard Johti| James, and Allan. McCarthy were each, lined 10s, and Audrey Joan Dimnock, Leslie Edwards, and Coliin : Jones were each convicted and ordered to pay costs. George Martin and Lottie Searle were each fined 15s for hosing without a meter, an offence for which Raymond .Arnold Lincoln was convicted and ordered'to'pay costs. .
For having an inefficient .silencer od a motor vehicle, George William Klee was fined 10s, and David Kockel and Peter .Jforretti were each convicted and ordered to pay costs. ..
A conviction and an order to pay costs were imposed upon Stanley George Blair for driving a vehicle with no rear numberplate, and upon Arthur John Allisbn for failing to have the weight shown on a motor-lorry.
Frederick McCormick, for failing" t» obtain a hire licence, and William Sprott for having no rear vision mirror in * motor vehicle, were each fined 10s.
