NAVY LEAGUE APPEAL

■ One shilling over one hundred pounds was raised by the Navy League yesterday by means of its street collection. Tlio result is deemed to have been very satisfactory, and those in charge are very grateful for the support accorded. Amounts obtained from (ha various collecting points Were:—J. The last occasion on which the Navy League made a street collection was four years ago yesterday, as a result of which £248 5s Od, the total amount collected, wns given to the Havke's Bay earthquake relief fund.
