ORIENTAL BAY'S PLEASURE SPOT

(To the Editor.) Sir,—l would like space to say a little upon "bathing improvements at Oriental Bay. We have around there a New; Zealand Brighton, a fine rendezvous for bathers. My previous suggestion for improved facilities was the concrete strips. The strips could be arranged by the authorities at Wellington. In the yards at Karori where cement slabs are made, similar slabs could be made to those that are used for paving. The slabs could be placed ends on and; could be-extended for 20 yards .out from the present , sea wall. I can't ihink the cost would be great. It would _ mean a vast improvement, and be much appreciated by locals as well as visitors. There is too much rubble around at Oriental Bay to be comfortable for bathers.—l am etc., TWO STRIPS OUT.
