SOUTHERN PARTY'S PLIGHT

After an unsuccessful'attempt to fly from Christehurch' to INapijsr, a party from Christchurch made a forced landing in. a paddock at Makara •on Saturday, the'fog over Rongotai preventing the .aeroplane from' "cpniirig into -the city.
