MURITAI TENNIS CLUB

The Muritai Tennis ' Club's new pavilion was opened yesterday by the Mayor of Eastbourne, Mr. E-. W. Wise. The pavilion is one of the finest possessed by a tennis club "in the Wellington district.. It was felt by the club that with the provision of ; water ' and drainage at Eastbourne the' time was ripe for "the construction of a new building, which," besides giving adequate space for dressing-rooms and;, a .dancing floor, would also contain all modern equipment. Mr. Wise congratulated the club on the attainment of its ambition, and presented the trophies won at the East Harbour, tournament. Some of Wellington's leading players took part in exhibition matches.on the courts. '
