LONDON, February 7.
The political correspondent of "The Times" says that Mr. Baldwin is not prepared to take disciplinary action, preferring to wait and see how the Wavertree situation develops, but the widespread demand from other constituencies for- immediate revision of the party system will cause a new position necessitating serious examination, probably at a meeting of the Conservative Central Council ort March .27.
The "Daily Mail's" political correspondent says that if a small number of .delegates to the council express doubts regarding the , Government's India policy Mr. Baldwin will immediately summon a meeting of the Conservative Association at the Carlton . Club at which he, will endeavour to rout the malcontents arid secure a vote of confidence.
Meanwhile Mr. Lloyd George is very interested in the Conservative discomfiture. There are! .rumours of fresh overtures to him to, join the Government .' with Sir .Herbert Samuel's Liberals.
